Global signage export
AGCO is a large international company that manages several global manufacturers and service providers. Among others, Challenger, Fendt, AGCO's Grain & Protein, Massey Ferguson and Valtra, are major players in the agricultural machinery and services sector operating along decades of tradition.
Mass production and international delivery of a gigantic signage portfolio
AGCO's international tender was looking for a partner to manufacture and supply signage and wayfinding elements for its network in Europe and the Middle East. The tender was awarded to us at the end of 2021. The joint undertaking has a few exciting traits that make the project far from ordinary.
AGCO sells its products through a franchise network of around 850 distributors around the world. We are tasked with designing, manufacturing, and delivering the various communication elements for these stores, ensuring a well branded presence.
Once we won the tender, our technical designers used the visual designs we received to draw up the plans to adapt them to our production in preparation for efficient, high-volume mass production.
To achieve a uniform image, dealers can choose from a set of standardized options, which they can tailor to their own needs, for instance, based on which brands they sell.
The tender also included a task that aimed to effectively manage the product matrix, which was needed to ensure the safe handling of the very high number of product variations.
AGCO signage product portfolio:
- pylons,
- wayfinding elements,
- wall signs,
- flag totems,
- illuminated signage elements.
All visual communication elements that can be found on the sites of a distributor of this type. It's no secret that this system was the biggest challenge of the tender because we had to find a way to:
- present and explain our signage solutions plainly and interactively,
- ensure the continuous flow of information between multiple parties and multiple information systems,
- make it possible to receive orders from anywhere in the world.
Therefore, we created a webshop! This way all signage options can be accessed, ordered, and paid for, while documentation and production can be tracked worldwide!
The customer experience on a closed web interface is very similar to that of buying a car online. You can view all signage elements, select the type of product, e.g. totem pole, frieze, etc., which can be immediately viewed in 3D visualisation.
You can then select the size, the logo(s) you want to display and the number of pieces. Finally, the contents of the shopping cart must be approved, and the purchase and data transmission will be carried out at the same time. Thanks to this "revolutionary" development, the entire management, design, production and implementation process is faster and more efficient.
In everyday life, we face a variety of tasks. We have unique, creative projects that we have been managing and producing on a weekly or monthly basis for over 10 years. Whatever success, growth and development comes from is always out of our comfort zone, and this has been the case in our work with AGCO. The project was a huge logistical challenge, but through conscious, long-term planning and process management, we have successfully completed the task and are now manufacturing and supplying products on a continuous basis.
