Display Solutions
Brands that sell in physical stores use a variety of in-store solutions, including displays, which are of paramount importance:
- when launching new products,
- increase interest in existing products,
- and increasing the success of sales promotions.
People usually hear about products first from out-of-store advertising, for example on TV, radio, social media, in magazines or through word of mouth. But once they enter the store, displays take over. They capture the attention of shoppers and evoke memories, consciously or subconsciously.
POP (Point of Purchase) displays and POS (Point of Sale) displays are tools that help to highlight and convey brand, products, objects or services and messages. The difference between the two types is that POP displays are placed on the sales floor, where products are displayed. POS displays, on the other hand, are confined to the place where the transaction takes place. This is the point of sale and its surroundings. This is where impulse items are often displayed in stores to encourage shoppers to add value to their basket at the last minute. In addition, there are also displays that simply convey information and messages, such as those found in offices, surgeries, etc.
So displays have a wide range of applications, not only in shops but also in offices, venues and exhibitions. With 30+ years of experience and tens of thousands of displays successfully delivered, we are at your service!
What are the benefits of displays?
- Increase sales: properly designed and placed displays can encourage customers to buy products, increasing sales and revenue.
- Creating a positive and memorable experience: by creating unique and engaging displays, we can provide shoppers with a positive and memorable shopping experience, which can contribute to brand loyalty and increase lifetime value.
- They differentiate and highlight the brand, product, or service: through unique design and brand-aligned style, displays can distinguish and emphasize the brand from competitors, thereby enhancing its recognizability and market position.
- Conveying information & messages: displays provide an ideal platform for conveying information and messages, such as product information, promotions, or brand communication. This can help in the customer decision making process and reinforce brand image.
How can you measure the effectiveness of a display?
- Impact: the number of customers who view the display for a longer time.
- Engagement: the number of shoppers who view and interact with the display sign or the products presented, for example by reading the labels, touching the product or trying it out.
- Conversion: the number of engaged customers who put the product in their shopping cart to buy it.
- Lost conversions: the number of shoppers who add a product to their cart but ultimately decide not to complete the purchase.
Custom display manufacturing and design
Our displays offer a variety of solutions and looks, which are always designed and manufactured to be optimised according to the customer's needs, possibilities and available resources. One of our strengths lies in creating unique solutions tailored to the brand and its values, so that the display resonates as much as possible with the perception in the minds of the customers
In addition to fast and cost-effective paper displays, we specialize in the manufacture and design of premium displays such as:
- custom branded displays,
- technology-integrated displays,
- displays constructed from multiple materials,
- and durable, sustainable displays.
The use of several different materials, the design of unique constructions and the incorporation of different technologies require unique and complex manufacturing. At BEFLEX, with over 100 people in 8500 square metres, we have been working for 30+ years to provide a single source to meet our customers' most daring ideas simply and quickly. This allows us to respond flexibly to our customers' needs and deliver high quality display solutions in high volumes. You brief, we deliver!
Display design process
Display constructions require thoughtful design to:
- be statically suitable for product storage,
- be easy to assemble and transport,
- durable and recyclable,
- fit the brand and its environment,
- and (most importantly) achieve their purpose.
The life of every display starts with creative design. We start working on the designs based on a brief from the client, in a brainstorming session to assess the possibilities and direction of the display design. This is followed by the 3D design phase, where we refine the ideas and work out the designs in detail. The finished designs are presented to the client, who chooses which to take to the engineering team, who draw up detailed production plans, followed by the display testing phase. A first sample is made to eliminate any defects before the design goes into series production.
Display manufacturing process
Our display manufacturing capacity varies depending on the type and complexity of the display. Simpler paper displays can be designed quickly, so we can produce up to thousands of units in a month. However, more complex displays, such as the Oral B smart display table, require more design time due to the technical solutions and their testing. As a result, the production time is also longer than for a simpler printed paper display. Overall, it can be concluded:
- The simpler solutions usually take 0.5-1.5 months to implement, which decreases proportionally with the number of items.
- Larger displays, which are built from several materials, take about 1-2 months to complete.
- Complex, innovative designs can take up to 2-3 months.
These timeframes are based on 30 years of experience and take into account the design, manufacturing, and testing processes to ensure high quality and meet expectations. It is important to note, however, that timelines may vary based on individual needs and project specifics.
What kind of displays do we produce at BEFLEX?
We categorise displays according to their durability and function. Most displays are available in durable, transitional, and in-between editions, the difference lies in the materials used.

Customization and branding
The most important aspect of a successful display is a unique, creative idea that fits the brand in some way. This will give it an authentic and distinctive look and feel. Such constructions are the ones that evoke the "wow" factor. However, for a display to include this extra, it doesn't need to be big or loud. Any solution can be able to appeal to customers if it manages to strike the right 'note'. All it takes is knowing your customers well and staying true to your brand values.
It is important to understand that the "wow" factor varies with each display. Displays primarily aimed at conveying messages or information can achieve this by communicating effectively and memorably, thereby meeting their objectives. Thus, the "wow" experience is determined by the effectiveness and goal alignment of each display.
Technological integration
The integration of technology is a significant trend and a substantial opportunity in the realm of modern premium display solutions. The use of illuminated signage elements, digital and interactive displays, and other technologies enhances the shopping experience and engages customers on a deeper level. Additionally, these technologies can transmit real-time, remotely accessible data to the teams managing the brand.
For example, by incorporating digital displays and motion sensors into a custom tabletop display, we can present visual content to customers about the items they pick up while simultaneously recording data on customer behaviors (such as which products are picked up and for how long).
These solutions can generate greater interest in our products, have a more significant impact on brand perception, and make future campaign optimizations far more data-driven compared to using standard constructions.
Sustainability and Eco-Friendly Solutions
Sustainability and environmental awareness are becoming increasingly important in the world of in-store solutions, and the integration of eco-friendly approaches has never been more crucial. Promoting sustainability resonates not only with environmentally conscious consumers but also enhances brand perception and contributes to a greener future, demonstrating a commitment to corporate social responsibility.
In the area of displays, numerous sustainable steps can be taken. For example, we can use recyclable materials, design long-lasting constructions, employ energy-efficient devices, and choose suppliers who operate sustainably and ethically. These measures help reduce environmental impact and positively influence the opinions of customers and the broader community about our brand.
